Phyllis Budinger will be our guest this week on the Paracast. Phyllis was born and raised in northeast Ohio. She holds two degrees in Chemistry: B.S. from Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio (1961) and M.S. from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio (1964). She joined Sohio, the original Standard Oil Company, in 1964. Through a series of mergers and takeovers the company ultimately became BP/Amoco.

Phyllis retired with the rank of Research Scientist from BP/Amoco in August 1999. Her 35 years of experience had been devoted to some facet of trouble shooting and problem solving for BP businesses. She has extensive experience in analyses using spectroscopic techniques (Infrared and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), and has a working knowledge of most other analytical techniques.

Her expertise in the forensic analysis of UFO related materials has placed her services in great demand among well known investigators throughout the world including Ted Phillips [Delphos Case], Nancy Talbott, Kathleen Marden, as well as MUFON Star Team members.

Please POST YOUR QUESTIONS HERE we will be taping Thursday morning.

Question:

  • As best as you can, in everyday terms, can you please give us an idea of what chemical evidence you believe would be sufficient to scientifically conclude that an alien substance is present, and not merely some sort of unusual chemical compound that can be manufactured by humans?
  • Do you personally believe alien visitation is real? Why?
  • Do you personally believe alien abduction is real? Why?

Any cases you worked on that appeared to be intriguing...not easily explained... and involves concentrated levels of magnetite?

1) Do you do lab testing mostly for paranormal clients? Your primary specialization is for doing what kind of testing?

2) Should lab testing be done by independent labs that have no connection to paranormal testing to eliminate bias?

3) Have you detected some cases that seem to be hoaxes? How did you find that out, or why did you think that?

If you were involved in the investigation of the Delphos UFO case, can you tell us about the "Actinomycetales" discovered in the ground at the landing site and why it is significant? Please and thanks.
