I don't get it. Half the time I post a picture, usually a jpg, it shows up directly in the post and can be manipulated (centered, etc.) and half the time it shows up as an attachment that you have to click on to see. I don't understand what the difference is here and why the result seems to vary. Any ideas how to control this?

Assuming you're following the same step with each, it may just be a matter of image dimensions, that's all.
