I am reminded of the Japan Airlines captain, involved in the Alaska 747 cargo plane incident. He was put onto 'flying a desk' straight after.
Whether there really are non-human craft zipping about or not, it does seem to be the case that it's often bad for a pilot's career to report a UFO sighting. One very notable exception is Captain Ray Bowyer.
