For the life of me I can't find a podcast feed for Dark Matters Radio, as I did for Paracast... I found the page listing links to past show MP3s, but no way to feed my podcast apps. The RSS link on the Dark Matters Radio main page is not compatible with iTunes or any other podcast app I tried--it doesn't link to the MP3s.

Am I:

A) Blind
B) Out of luck

Thanks for the assist.

Horseflesh can you not just Download the individual mp3's then upload them to your player? If its Itunes i don't know much about that, i have an ipod i never use but i found the whole interface confusing, can you do that with your player?

It certainly can be done manually, but it is a lot more work. For example, the MP3s in the archive do not even have ID3 tags. That means I need to download the file, edit the file to add a title like "Dark Matters Radio" so that I can FIND it on my MP3 player, then copy it to the player.

Whereas, if it's a true podcast, I simply subscribe with iTunes (or the Zune software, or many other apps), browse a list of episodes, and select which ones I want to listen to.

I am pleased to have the shows available at all, but there is a standardized way to share these things and if it were used the potential audience would be much greater. It's also just plain easier to use.

I wouldn't even have posted except I was sure I had to be overlooking it somehow!

Just for your information, our podcast listing is simply an iTunes-compliant file that we update each week and use a special app to upload and ping iTunes and other podcast aggregators and, when it works, Twitter and Facebook.

I don't have any problem.
1. Download the file to a folder on your desktop.
2. From itunes add file to library
3. Click on recently added
4. right click and add to playlist

Then you're good to go, and that takes under 20 seconds (not including the download time).

If you want to have it so the file saves its place when you stop it, just right click ---> get info ---> options ---> click 'Remember playback position'
