When I was in middle school I collected all the Macfarlane spidey books. But when he left and made Spawn, ugh...He really had a huge impact on my illustrations during that time, luckily I had nothing published during that period. I call it my blue period. ;)

Snidely, cos I only know your avatar name, perhaps you could point me in the direction of some of your work?
Back in the day I used to collect 2000AD and although not a huge comic fan, I do appreciate good art and writing.

Thanks Mulder. I loved 'Lost' - It may have lost it's way a couple of times and had a very unsatisfying ending but it still ranks up there with 'The Wire'. I can imagine Lindelof being responsible for a lot of cool stuff in Lost. Smoke Monster, polar bear, jacob, translocation device activated by a wooden wheel!

Lost was a well created universe in which, like Lord of the Rings, I wanted to visit for real!

@trained - 'same here' to the lot eh? :)

I'm right there with you goggs , I don't make a habit of purchasing dvds but on the case of lost I made an exception.

If I ran into damon my number one question would be about the smoke monster because it sure seemed like it SHOULD have gone in a different direction than what it turned out. It struck me that in the early run much was made of the sound it made. in the pilot it was described as sounding like a taxi meter and moving chains , being that nothing in that series was done without good reason it seems to me they had a completely different concept on what smokey had started out to be than what it did.

And that is the problem with TV shows. When they get a commission for one season - they can never know if they will still be around 5 seasons later so they do change and adapt stories as they go.
Guess what? I'll bet if I started watching Lost again at the beginning, a couple of months from now I'd still be working my way through the lot again. It was that good and I really rate every actor on it.
