Prison Orbs

I used to work with a group of paranormal investigators and we were contacted by a representative for an old abandoned prison. We had to sign something not to reveal where it was so I can't say that. This representative said that security personnel (still watching the place I guess?) and maintenance crew would often see strange things in locked/secured/office areas and wanted to see if we could get anything. The prison had been abandoned for a number of years and there were about 5 buildings that we were to look in. Only one building(the old cafeteria) was still used with storage items. That building is the only one with power so all the others didn't have power at all and was pitch black. The cafeteria building with power and storage was not one we were allowed into. We took the tour then went into onc cell block about 3 hours later and several of us saw white orbs flying around VERY quickly. We tried for a while to catch them on video/film but wasn't successful. Everyone went off to other parts of the prison, tired of waiting to catch something. I stayed and kept clicking away with a digital camera I had borrowed from someone. I didn't own a camera as I always was interested in EVP and used my recorders most of the time. All the orb photos I had ever seen with the exception of very few were just those dust/pollen/water orbs. Well I could see these orbs so I knew it wasn't dust and I finally manged to capture 2. These are the only "orb" photos like these I have personally seen and in all my investigations over the years that don't look like dust. I sent an email to David once or twice about viewing them but I never heard from him. He may not have gotten them or rolled his eyes at more "orb" photos! haha! Anyway, I finally found a place I could post them (I'm not very net savvy about these things). Here are the 2 photos and I zoomed in and saved them a little closer up. They appear to have a blue haze around part of them and both have "tails".

Interesting story and photos, thanks for sharing them!

I'd love to be a part of a reputable paranormal invistigations group like that, it'd be sooo fun (at least for a little while).

I went to a cemetary the other day and snapped pics around me, too (it was during the day).
(I've got sort of a gothic side to me and actually love pretty cemetaries, lol).

I don't think I caught anything, but they make for pretty pics, anyways.

Did you feel anything while investigating it? Did you get any EVP's (in any of your investigations, I'd love to hear some of them

Well, I did have some moments when it was like anger emotions flooded over me. That could have been because I knew where I was. Occasionally I would "hear" in my mind's ear clanging and yelling like some sort of quick movie clips.

As for EVPs...(to quote a redneck father I know) "Does a frog bump it's ass when it jumps??" For those needing redneck to English translation, it means "yes" or "absolutely".

I did not get any on that investigation but I have quite a number of them. I seem to have a knack for getting them or at least I feel like I do. I think it has something to do with my aura/energy field. I have come to that personal conclusion because a majority seem to feed off power lines or energy sources. Our bio-electric field is probably the same thing. When I used to do investigations (havn't in over a year) I would close my eyes and take a few breaths and send out a thought to anyone near that I hoped they would communicate. I held that "ideal" while on the investigation. I'll have to research where I could post them if you're interested in hearing them or if you know of somewhere that hosts audio stuff.

I read where someone posted that theirs sounded like they came through another microphone. I find this to be true of the vast majority of mine. You tend to hear a clicking or some recorder noise followed by a different sounding voice, like the other person was saying, it resembles a voice through a weird microphone with odd pops, clicks or sounds.

I worked with a friend in a Halloween store once where there were only 3 of us and their dogs inside. We had saw/heard/felt weird things for weeks. We decided to try an EVP one night while going out to eat dinner. There were many rooms in the building and we had a table set up in one. We placed the recorder on the table and turned it on. We walked out and shut the door ( you hear all this on the recording). You hear us walk up the hallway and open the front door, close and lock it (all that was faint but audible). Next you hear the 3 dogs left inside begin to whine and bark a little since they were left by the owners and used to going with them. The dogs stop barking in about 30 seconds and it gets quiet. When I listened to this next part I'm about to say I went cold. After about 1 minute you hear footsteps, you hear the doorknob turn, the creaky door open, more footsteps to the table and you hear a finger sort of move around on the recorder like it was trying to find a button (EVP people know what I mean for digital recorders) and then it shuts off! That was just incredible. I knew the place was haunted..no doubt. No, no one could have hidden in there and if they did , they would be trapped inside with a key turned deadbolt on the door. The door to the room was still closed upon returning. I did not get a copy of it as I asked my friend's husband to email it and he didn't and since then we had a falling out and don't speak so I don't have a copy.

Hi, my name is Jeremy I recently moved into a Civil War era antebellum home in the Midwest....while renovating and remodeling, my roommate saw the apparition of a man or woman in our front door way while taking pictures of the front of our house. Caleb, my roommate, 27 yr old male, 6 ft 3in 235 lbs began crying hysterically. I was finally able to calm him down by explaining we would burn some sage to smudge the house. Caleb began snapping photos rapidly, taking about 70-80 in a 6-10 min period of time.....here is a pic of me burning the sage in my bedroom a couple minutes after he saw the apparition. Please contact me as I would like to share more photos and further explain our experiences.

In the photos, the orb doesn't appear to be illuminating anything near it, leading me to question whether or not the artifact in the photo was actually in the scene.

What on earth is burning sage got to do with an apparition? I'm open-minded I hope, I've seen some kind of apparition myself, with another witness, but burning sage sounds like mumbo-jumbo?
I shall try to reserve judgement however, I am interested in things many people call hokey so it would be unfair to have my 'allowances' but not afford someone else theirs.
