I read somewhere that they're trying to ban people from taking pictures and videos at airports, probably in-part to prevent people from getting evidence against them when they abuse their power. If it hadn't been for the people with the cell phone camera we'd have never found out the truth about how they killed Robert Dziekański, and since his death there have been a host of other incidents. I agree we need better monitoring for real threats, but there are also law enforcement people who IMO take it too far, not only at airports, but at the borders.
