Rumor has it there are millions of humans who live on the backside. There are mountains, snow, water, trains, cows.
Yeah I've got a little bungalow there, come around sometime... I'll show you how to milk the cows at 1/6 g, it's fun.
The lore says that you can take a tour on a shuttle bus or go skiing down the mountains then enjoy a visit to the Moon bowling alley were you get to bowl on the moon.
The burritos at Tia Maria's in downtown Goddard are not to be missed. I probably don't really want to know what they put in them, but they are, well, heavenly.
Have you tried a Moondog? or travelled to the Lunar Reataraunt and Lounge?
I went, but I left because it had no atmosphere.Have you tried a Moondog? or travelled to the Lunar Reataraunt and Lounge?
As well, the Soviet Union was also closely monitoring the Apollo missions. If they even slightly suspected that the U.S. was trying to perpetrate a hoax, they would have called it out to the entire world immediately. For some reason this Apollo stuff reappeared in my inbox so I'll say my bit again.
Hundreds of radio amateurs all over the world built or modified radio equipment to listen to the Apollo signals. And guess what? The signals had the direction, Doppler shift, polarization, path loss and propagation delay consistent with VHF/UHF signals from a source in low Earth orbit, en-route to the Moon, in orbit around the Moon, from the surface of the Moon and returning. All this amateur work is well documented (including printouts off Doppler shift) in magazines at the time, but specifically in QST published by the ARRL.
Why is this Apollo-denier nonsense still doing the rounds? And can a denier please describe in detail how hundreds of independent radio experimenters and groups all over the world had all these technical radio-signal characteristics so convincingly faked. We'll wait with interest...
