PSN Network Hacked

This has nothing to do with the paranormal, but I wanted to make sure that those here with PSN accounts know. Sony has stated:

To protect against possible identity theft or other financial loss, we encourage you to remain vigilant to review your account statements and to monitor your credit reports. Additionally, if you use the same user name or password for your PlayStation Network or Qriocity service account for other unrelated services or accounts, we strongly recommend that you change them. When the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services are back on line, we also strongly recommend that you log on to change your password.
For your security, we encourage you to be especially aware of email, telephone, postal mail or other scams that ask for personal or sensitive information. Sony will not contact you in any way, including by email, asking for your credit card number, social security number or other personally identifiable information. If you are asked for this information, you can be confident Sony is not the entity asking.

So, if anyone here uses a similar user name and password on the Paracast forums, make sure you change your password ASAP. Although we shouldn't use the same password, many of us do. I have a few go to passwords, and I had to change a few because of this.

I did not get a chance to link it, but I've been playing it single player, so it works fine on my PS3. So far, it's the best written videogame i have ever played. Probably up there with one of the best written things ever. So funny.

All smart phones track you. The problm with what iOS does is that it stores an unencrypted file that can be found. Keep in mind I don't really care and it won't make me get rid of my iPhone.

If your phone isn't stolen, it's not an issue. But Apple has announced that they will be addressing that, too:

just on a note of caution i've been changing passwords in various places following the psn hack, but couldn't immediately spot how/where to do it on the paracast forums. Grateful for an idiots guide (i'm sure it is somewhere obvious but sometime I look but don't see if you know what I mean)

Click the "Forum Actions" pull down on the bar near the top, choose "Edit profile", and the password settings are first on the list

Just a little update, its still down and no signs of ps3 being back up yet lol.
