Psychic surgeons and transplanted organ stories

Paranormally Disenchanted
I wonder whatever happened to Puharich's psychic surgery research? Are psychic surgeons still operating in Brazil today? Some of the stories Puharich tells are hair raising! Incredible stuff. Did Puharich really see what he said he saw in the following video? If so, what in the hell is going on with that? This kind of stuff just doesn't fit in my box if you know what I mean. In part one he relates a story where a psychic surgeon removed a fatty tumor from his arm and to beat all, I know someone who had a similar experience!

"Andrija Puharich, M.D. relates his experiences with a Mexican psychic surgeon who transplanted organs. "Andrija was convinced that Pachita's "instant surgery" was completely genuine, and that no fraud of any kind was possible under his and his colleagues scientific observation and documentation."

Really interested int the Arrrigo stuff., the idea that there is paranormal ascertation that there has been a lineage of people who have been "inhabitated" by a Dr named Frtiz to help people by performing miraculous surgeries. its a kind of like reincarnation but not.

i mean its enough to perform the miracle surgeries let alone be the spirit of a dead doctor from europe. Makes me think if there is an opposite too. The spirit of a serial killer that lives on and inhabits others.

I cannot believe that Puharich is telling the truth. He says he saw people performing transplants with organs from corpses. At some point he talks about organs being put into blenders and then poured into the patient. Insane is the only word my vocabulary that properly describes these claims. If Puhariach made all these studies and documented these amazing surgeries I have to ask what became of it? Apparently absolutely nothing as you might expect.

Of course it doesn't fit in a matchbox.

Whats the name of that guy Biedny always goes on about? Ariego or something? Anyway - I am confused as to whether he is supposed to do the kind of 'surgery' that involves basically matter passing through solid matter. Physics-defying stuff, let alone medical-defying. Biedny seems convinced this guy was for real, which I find strange for a guy often so skeptical.
I mean, there is a difference between doing actual surgery without anaesthetic etc and this really weird stuff? Any decent info on this Arigo guy?

psi healing? WTF is that? You got some wierd folks around here. One of them blathers on and on about downloading consciousness even though the jury is still out on even really understanding it. Another wants to prove they can see things that haven't even happened yet. Another wants to argue about birthers and truthers and global warming. Thank god I'm an atheist. I don't have to think about any of it. But, it is fun to come here and watch the circus. I'll try to be civil so I don't get bounced. But, I do call em like I see em.

Right. You don't get it. Here read this.

You apparently have stumbled into a forum where people are discussing stories about the history, personalities, and current goings on in the paranormal field from a wide variety of perspectives. It isn't for everyone.

Oh I get it. So, do I need permission from you or one of the other popular kids to post here?

I understand that sir. But, it seemed to me as if it were a way of putting me in my place. I will try not to be rude. But, I do tend to speak plainly and I am not easily offended and don't mean to offend.

No of course not. Sorry if it came across that way. However, your dismay might be tempered by the realization that the center pole in this "circus" is an appreciation for the weird and down right ridiculous. I have to remind myself and the odd hard core skeptic moderator about that occasionally as well.

Honestly though I don't get folks who interject themselves into a thread discussing something like the transplanting of organs from the dead to the living (my favorite being via blender) to exclaim dismay about it and complain about the types of subjects being discussed elsewhere in a forum dedicated to paranormal subjects. However with the recent sock-puppet-like nonsense that has been going on in the forum I shouldn't be surprised at much of anything.

I could not agree more that psychic healing, faith healing, and psychic surgery is pretty hard to take seriously. I've been around a lot of alleged "faith healing" and it fails miserably whenever .

My choice of the video of Puharich saying he had witnessed organ transplants from the dead was meant to put some emphases on the totally ridiculous nature of some of these claims and to invite a discussion, hopefully with people who had some experience or direct knowledge about people practicing this today.

For those who might think there is something to this I still ask the question, " If Puhariach made all these studies and documented these amazing surgeries I have to ask what became of it? Apparently absolutely nothing as you might expect."

Even though I personally do not believe that anything magical, spiritual, or whatever you want to call it is actually going on, I am still fascinated by incredible strangeness of it all and the fact that there are so many people allegedly treated by these types of folks. Like I said, I know of at least one person who was treated in classic fashion and the treatment was apparently successful. In light of the sheer unbelievable nature of the thing, like him I have to ask, "What do you do with that?" You scratch your head that is what you do.
