Paranormal Adept
Recently, I was listening to an old Art Bell show that I had downloaded from Streamlink. Anyway, Art was talking to (excuse me if I get the names wrong) Brendan Cook and Barbara Mcbeath who collect evp's. Now, to be honest I'm skeptical of the whole thing. I am sympathetic to the subject but not really a believer. Would be cool though.
Anyway my question to the forum is: Has anyone here ever heard of these two? The recordings are unlike most any I have heard before. Many of them are so clear (which makes it dubious actually)that they sound like someone in the same room having a conversation. They call themselves the "Ghost Hunters Society" I have found a facebook page for them but, their web page seems to be out of date. Anyway, Just thought I's ask since many here know stuff ;).

Oh by the way. I would love to hear Gene and David interview them. Or gene and Paul or Don or one of the guest host until when/if David gets back.

They are among the most popular guests on the old Art Bell show, and I have never heard anyone impugn their credibility. To the contrary, they are often viewed as being the most trustworthy -- they don't appear on TV like those other clowns, they fund their work solely out of their own pockets, and they don't write books for profits. The team at G.I.S. has remained constant for more than a decade, as I understand it, and they claim to maintain the integrity of their tapes.

I personally do think that there is something to E.V.P.s -- some of the voices are extremely clear, and are responsive at times to the researchers. I understand that some of these researchers, like G.I.S., are credible. What exactly the phenomenon actually is, however, is unclear, whether it is the dearly departed, the tricksters, or time loops from the past driven by a physics we just don't understand yet.

Ghost Investigators Society

How about getting them on the Paracast if they are still around?

I agree that there could be something there but as Dave stated on a few occasions there is a need for better recording equipment to eliminate any other possible factors.
