Because you are in Colorado you have a good knowledge of the area. At first I thought this was just an insect but this new article says a bug expert looked at the footage and rule it out.

90% of UFOs can be solved but this is one that apparently has not been definitely solved yet.

Chris have you considered going to the location yourself?
 
First off: I'm in AZ—have been since 2004 and I have no plans to visit the site. Second: This footage sure looks to me like insects flying close (within feet) of the camera. The camera appears to have a high speed shutter setting which enables the camera to capture the insects in focus. I disagree w/ the insect expert (who obviously is not a video analyst--as I am not) But, IMO, nothing to see here, move along... If you don't agree then tell me where the aliens are going to and coming from...and why? The non-answers to these questions renders this scenario a mundane non-story—In My Humble Opinion, of course...
 
The best way to discern if this is close or far away would be to place a sheet about ten feet ahead of the camera. You could also triangulate a couple cameras to get a true fix of the objects location.
