I tried to search the forums, but couldn't find any topics dedicated to this. Just seeing if anyone around here knows of any good, or credible, books or websites on this topic? I've not read any decent material on this event.

I am highly skeptical of that story, which is why I would not recommend any source. It was even a bad movie.
 
I haven't seen the movie since I was a kid. I know if I saw it now it'd be a cheesefest. But I can't really hate on it either. While I know it was over the top and improbable, as a kid it did contribute to already huge sense of wonder. Many what-if's came out watching that movie, for me atleast. I conceeded long ago, the event was likely a hoax or misinfo left to live a life of it's own. But it never hurts to hunt for different perspectives.
 
Years ago (more than 10) I went to the Whole Life Expo in LA with a friend. We saw a man give a lecture on the Philadelphia Experiment claiming that he was "a walk in" (meaning that the soul of a dead sailor from the PE "walked in" and took over his body). I believe in a lot of things but the Philadelphia Experiment is not one of them.:cool:
