One of those films was "Earth Versus the Flying Saucers," a Grade-B sci-fi film that was very, very loosely based on (or suggested by) one of Major Donald E. Keyhoe's books, "Flying Saucers from Outer Space."
Let's just say that Keyhoe naively assumed they'd actually make a film that accurately presented his case for UFO reality, and he was not amused with what Hollywood did to his book. But it's still a good popcorn thriller.
