Really wild story involving Phil Imbrogno

Free episodes:

That's quite a story. I'd love to hear what Phil has to say about it. Does the tape still exist or has it been snatched up like every other tape/video??

I also know it would be especially difficult because of cultural differences but I wonder what research/study has been done (if any) concerning this cross cultural meeting of the "others". They do appear different in form. They also behave differently, sometimes naughty sometimes nice. Perhaps there is a cultural lens that allows us to only glimpse these "others" within certain parameters. I know O'Brian has attempted such a thing with the trickster meme, but it seems to run much deeper than that. Maybe it's a good start in the right direction although I'm now a bit wary of the possible motives.

Again it would be good to hear from Phil regarding the veracity of the story with the various deaths, the audio tapes, and the first hand experiences. I wonder why he would have been exempt from such a strange and unfortunate aftermath as the others.

That's one of the most disturbing things I've read in a loooong time. Coincidently, I'm reading Phil's book at the moment.

Has this been posted before? If David and Gene ever have him back on I wish they would have him talk about this:

Interesting article.

For those of you interested in the possibility that the purported "aliens" we've been hearing so much about for 6 decades (or 6 millennia, depending upon the length of your historical lens) are in actuality beings along the lines of the Jinn, here is an entire site devoted to that idea: it's called, appropriately, "The Jinn." :)

The opening page of the site says, "Alien entities claiming they come from other planets might be the greatest hoax ever."

Maybe so -- although my intuition tells me that these same tricksters referred to here as "the Jinn" are called by various names throughout human history.

Thanks for the link. I'm flabbergasted some of the tales told in the article are amazing. Are the stories fabricated? Well, One tale in the article; struck a cord with me and that was the story. Were a corporate executive claimed he had a disturbing dream" that he had thought he awakened in the middle of the night to see a tall robed being with a hood, surrounded by a pale green glow. I personally never had this experience, but I'm aware of similar story told to me by a friend. Where he claimed his mother saw, A man? "in a robe in a field outside his grandmothers house in the 1960's. It was at night. There was green glow surrounding the man. He said. His mother called out to his grandmother to come and look. When she looked out. My friend said then grandmother said she could not see anything and his mother was confused. Shortly a few minutes later. The experience ended. He said his grandmother still today claims she saw nothing. He said. He's believe is that the grandmother lied and his mother believe is the same.

I have heard Mr. Imbrogno recount this story previously -- I believe it was on a past Coast to Coast radio interview. It would be good to get him on to repeat it. Coincidentially, I am reading a book by William Buhlman on out-of-body experiences -- he is one of the pioneers, and comes across fairly credibly. At no point does Mr. Buhlman indicate that there are evil creatures or djinn in the other dimensions he has visited out of the body (he has come across other entities and disincarnate humans), although he does detail of nature of the various 'less dense' dimensions that exist immediately adjacent to our own (they are evidently stacked like the layers of an onion one next to the other, differing by vibrational frequency). Mr. Buhlman does speculate on the existence of portals from one dimension to the next (e.g., true nature of black holes; tunnels during NDEs). Given that Budd Hopkins and an actual experiencer will be on Sunday night, perhaps this is potential line of inquiry?

One aspect of the story is not unique--the "picking off" of parties involved. That sort of thing happened elsewhere e.g. in the Uralian case.

Hrm does anyone know if the audio recording is still available? Or the newspaper article mentioned in the account there, about the guy burning his UFO books?

Sounds bullshitty to me. How convenient for Imbrogno that potential co-witnesses are unavailable for comment. Can anyone else stand as a witness? If not, the story should be taken for what it is: a story. No evidence here, move along.

He's the only surviving researcher from the "dream team." How like a crappy Bruckheimer movie does that sound? What a load of shit.

That's the thing, no evidence. But still it doesn't mean that nothing happened. Remember the absence of evidence thing. A story doesn't do any good to anyone searching for tangible evidence. I'd like to think Phil is an honest person, but who the hell knows??

I'd like to think Biedny is an honest person as well. And when David tells his stories, I pretty much believe him. There is no evidence other than a corroborating story. Still, I don't have the mentality that I should just move on. Maybe something is there that we cannot place an actual finger on. Still, did it happen in space and time?? Or was it some other strange thing?? I don't know, there is no evidence.

I think the best I can do is file it away as either bunk or not-bunk despite the lack of something tangible. And perhaps the collection of stories will someday, somehow be revealing. I don't know what to think sometimes. I guess that's part of the mystery and allure. The problem is sorting through the BS to get a true story. Anyone can tell a story, but there might be some worth in certain ones.

Hrm does anyone know if the audio recording is still available?

Hahaha, I would be amazed if it was! The best evidence is almost always "lost" isn't it? I'd love to be wrong, but even if it exists would we hear what they think they heard?
And the thing's name was "Ablis"? I don't think it's any coincidence that this sounds a lot like "Iblis" from the Qur'an. This goes along with the Islamic mythology (the Jinn) that powers Imbrogno's next book right? How convenient.

I'm intrigued with the idea, but skeptical.
