Last Friday at approx. 8:00pm (it had just gotten dark), I pulled up into my driveway after picking up my friend to go bowling. We were getting ready to head in and get my brother and cousin so we could leave. As I'm driving, I'm about 15 yards away from pulling into the driveway, I notice a very bright reddish orange ovalish object moving in the sky above my detached garage. In my view the object appeared to be traveling at a high altitude, but still appeared to be larger than a quarter at arm's length. At this point I ask my friend "What is that?" and he says he saw it, too. We now are in my driveway and quickly get out of the car to observe the object. It was moving in a way fairly typical of an approaching airplane, but this was not an airplane. Airplanes are not a solid, pulsating orange red color with no FAA lights. We stood in my driveway and watched it as it flew in our direction. At one point the object was directly overhead and we could clearly make out the shape of the object to be a disk. It looked like a perfect circle when it flew right above us. As it passed, it began to gain altitude until we could no longer see it as it had disappeared into a patch of clouds. The object was not excessively quick nor did it show "typical" UFO flight patterns in that there were no jerky, sudden movements, it did not hover and do the wobble-in-place thing like I've seen before, and there was very little to no weaving about in its flight trajectory. It just smoothly and silently sailed across the sky until my friend and I could no longer see it. The whole encounter from spotting the object to it fading into the clouds lasted around 2-3 minutes, at best.
This was in no way shocking or surprising to me AT ALL. It did not even come close to my most intense UFO sighting, which was so crazy that I called Peter Davenport at the NUFORC. I can post the link to that account if requested.
In my life, I can't even count the number of UFOs I have seen, and barely have I ever seen the same thing twice. Now when I say UFOs, I don't mean I'm the type of person to have a heart attack over seeing Venus or an airplane. I know what I'm looking for and I am not a stupid person. When I say "UFO", I mean large purplish "motherships" (that's the account I sent into NUFORC), triangular objects with three lights flying very low and silently, huge white-blue orbs wobbling in place and disappearing, daylight sightings of disks and once, an odd cylindrical object that was seen "barreling" through the sky in BROAD DAYLIGHT by me. I've also seen orbs and triangles passing each other, and interaction between craft.
Many of my sightings were either with my fiance or my best friend, who is in this with me totally now because of all the things we have witnessed together. My fiance used to go "hunting" for UFOs with us but now wants nothing to do with it. He doesn't even want to hear about it anymore when I see something.
It is pretty embarrassing, even on a forum like this, to be so bold to admit to having seen so much. Frankly, I know it makes me sound like a nutjob to some. I really do not care, since I know the things I've been seeing are not common objects that me and my friends have misidentified. They are either government craft or something else.
I'm 23 years old, female, living in West Virginia about ten minutes from the PA border. I don't know why I have had so many sightings/encounters with UFOs. I do know that I usually only see them with certain people around or when I'm by myself. More often than not, I'm with my best friend at the time of the sightings. I'm faily certain that there is a high level of UFO activity in my area in general, but I can't help but wonder if these things are seeking me out because I am seeking them out. I have thought about setting up a "UFO Hunter" type club in my area but for that reason I have not.
I do not have any photographs or video, though I bought a camcorder for the specific purpose of catching something crazy on film a couple years ago. I have never seen anything unusual in the sky when I have my camera on me, so I just gave up on that. I don't feel that I have anything to prove. My only motivation is an insatiable curiousity about the numerous things I have seen, what they are, and where they come from.
Another paranormal phenomena that I have witnessed are shadow people. I have seen numerous SPs in my life, all in different shapes (I've seen the hat man, one with a large bulbous head, in my old house we used to see the circle head ones with just a torso and arms, running through the house and swinging their arms). My best friend who goes on UFO drives with me recently saw a very shocking SP OUTSIDE when we were looking at the sky in Chestnut Ridge park (the clearest view of the night sky around). Years ago I submitted the story of my first and most dramatic encounter with the hat shadow man to paranormal.about.com. The SP was seen by me and my roommate, and it physically blocked the sunlight from the window (this was on a third story floor). I can link to it if anyone wants.
So there's a little bit about me and what has hooked me into the "paranormal" realm. I'd definitely say that my personal experiences brought me here in search of answers. On a final note, in case I get asked, NO, I do not feel that I have ever been "abducted". Would I rule out the remote possiblilty, no. But I have zero recollection of anything like that happening, no missing time, etc. I'm no contactee. Although I do believe during certain sightings the objects may have been reacting to my thoughts, such as "move fast for us" or "get brighter". That would be the closest thing to communicating with whatever these objects are that I believe I have come to.
