Short but interesting interview with John Rhodes of http://www.reptoids.com on the November 11th Richard Syrett show (archives here: http://www.richardsyrett.com/audioarchive.htm)

I was expecting a rather silly interview considering the subject matter but it was far more lucid and plausible than the usual Icke-esque talk of reptilian aliens etc.. Rhodes rather than believing that the reported reptoids are from outer space thinks that they come from inside the earth or live deep under the sea, and may have evolved from dinosaurs.

Kind of fits in with Mac Tonnies Cryptoterrestrial hypothesis in a way, and is worth a listen.

yes well there is an awful lot of "space" down there, i once saw a video clip showing a skydiver at terminal velocity pass the ground, and go down a theoretical "tunnel" to the centre of the earth, after 20 mins hes fallen 40 miles, but the core is still 3900 miles away.......

(my figures may be a little off, but you get the idea)

There is so much under our feet that hasn't been checked out why not some ancient race of "reptoids" that broke off millions of years ago from te dinosaurs.

There are tunnel systems that go on for miles which are yet to be fully investigated (repeating myself here, of course). But Neil Armstrong was part of an expedition that check out one tunnel system. They never broke the surface for 2 months!!

I'd almost be willing to bet (not quite, because I don't have any money, and the $NZ is currently losing value against sea shells) that if anyone today met an intelligent dinosaur descendant, it would seem much more birdlike than reptilian.

Could very well be. Though in the interview, Dale Russell's thought experiment is mentioned, and that Rhodes actually discussed his idea with Russell ... although Russell didn't really want to be known to be talking to a non-academic like Rhodes.

More here on Dale Russell ... at wikipedia:

(its about half way down the article).

I remember seeing a documentary in the UK many years ago regarding what might have happened if the dinosaurs weren't wiped out. Seeing the model of a reptilian humanoid that might have evolved instead of us humans made me very uneasy :D. There is something so alien about a reptilian humanoid ... strange that :p
