Question: So this sounds like a good idea right? Keep track of the kids to keep them in school (just going to school dose not guarantee an education), sounds harmless?
So the question is: how long until your work place wants this? how long until your government wants this? how long until they dispense with the card and implant it?
Sounds paranoid?
It is a slippery slope my friends and once you start sliding down it it is very hard to stop.
Some thing for our Australian friends ... looks like you will be getting drones soon as well.

Why? For the money, apparently. Next year, ID cards outfitted with Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID) technology will be given to students at John Jay High School, Anson Jones Middle School, and all special education students who use district buses — totaling around 6,290 students, according to The San Antonio Express-News. If the pilot program is successful, the district wants to use the ID cards at all of its 111 schools, with a student population of almost 100,000...".* Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur discuss on The Young Turks.
