Richard Hoagland says Elenin Hiding Spaceship

Paranormally Disenchanted
Hoagland went on Coast To Coast AM on 25.5.2011 and said that he believes that the comet Elenin may be hiding a spacecraft! Shades of Whitely Strieber and Hale-Bopp! Hoagland talks about water on the moon for the most part but drops the comet bomb starting around 36:50 or so in the following video. He says, "I think this thing may actually be some kind of ship coming into the solar system ..."

I know that Richard is nothing more than an entertainer portraying a sort of pseudo-scientist in the faux-reality road show of Ufoology but I thought he would have more sense than to make that kind of a statement.

Speaking of which Whitely has this note about on his unknown country website. "Comet Elenin hysteria is a dangerous sickness. All of the conspiracy theories are wrong. It is an ordinary comet, period. The real astronomy done on the comet is clear: it is an ordinary, garden variety comet. Hysteria over Comet Hale-Bopp led people to take their own lives in an insane suicide pact. That must not be allowed to happen again.

You would think if the Hale-Bopp/Heaven's Gate fiasco would have taught these guys anything it would be that they have to be responsible for what they say and take that into consideration.

They depend on the public's short attention span. Disappear when the prediction fails to happen, and then return with a new prediction, as if the previous one never happened.

Today is the anniversary of another stupid claim:

The Nibiru collision is a supposed disastrous encounter between the Earth and a large planetary object (either a collision or a near-miss) which certain groups believe will take place in the early 21st century. Believers in this doomsday event usually refer to this object as Planet X or Nibiru. The idea that a planet-sized object could possibly collide with or pass by Earth in the near future is not supported by any scientific evidence and has been rejected as pseudoscience by astronomers and planetary scientists.[1]
The idea was first put forward in 1995 by Nancy Lieder, founder of the website ZetaTalk. Lieder describes herself as a contactee with the ability to receive messages from extra-terrestrials from the Zeta Reticuli star system through an implant in her brain. She states that she was chosen to warn mankind that the object would sweep through the inner Solar System in May 2003 (though that date was later abandoned) causing Earth to undergo a pole shift that would destroy most of humanity. The predicted collision has subsequently spread beyond Lieder's website and has been embraced by numerous Internet doomsday groups, most of which link the event to the 2012 phenomenon. Although the name "Nibiru" is derived from the works of late ancient astronaut writer Zecharia Sitchin and his interpretations of Babylonian and Sumerian mythology, Sitchin denied any connection between his work and various claims of a coming apocalypse.

What is Richard Hoagland's actual background anyway? He calls himself a generalist in the above video. I have tried for years to find some reference to that man's educational background but have never found it. Other than "a museum curator" and "consultant on CBS" you never get much of a clue as to this guys credentials. I mean if you are going to present yourself as some sort of "scientist" doing all this ground breaking pseudo-science I'd think you'd mention your educational experience once in awhile.

Hoagland is a clown. Ever tried to navigate his website? Has it ever been worked on since around 1995 cause that's kind of what it looks like. Anyway, some years ago he completely lost me when George Noory said Dr. Kaku was going to be on the next night. George (insert rolling eyes here) said when "you" guys (Hoagland and Kaku) start talking science I'm not sure of how to follow. Now, here is the part where I thought ole Richard would have a little humility. This is where I thought he would say "well George I'm certainly no Doctor Kaku when it comes to science." Ya know what? He didn't say that at all. He chuckles and makes a joke about helping George to keep up! I mean OMG! I have played a little guitar in my time and my guitar playing is to B.B. King what Hoaglands science is to Kaku. So, if I was anywhere around B.B. King I would lay my guitar at his feet. Not chuckle and tell somebody to try and keep up. So, yeah Hoagy is a piece of work. :-)

It seems Comet Elenin is not what is appears by some ,
SolarIMG - Astronomer: Elenin appears to be disintegrating.

Heaven only knows what bizarre explanation that Hoagland will come up with for that. Here are my guesses:

1) The PTB (powers that be) have used their secret space program to destroy the incoming craft. Why? Because they are so mean.
2) We are just seeing the separation from the interstellar drive components. Hoagland will no doubt reference Obi-Wan's ship from Star Wars.
3) Evil aliens have destroyed the good aliens or vice versa.
4) Its a hyper-dimensional physics thing and we just wouldn't understand it.
