Think I mentioned a show here previously, one I watched within the last two or three years.  It was probably on the History channel, I can't remember, but it showed mavs designed to fly into buildings in a war zone in order to determine safety for incoming troups.  The darned mavs looked like small ufos equipped with tiny cameras and sound sensing.  These weren't animated but the real things operated remotely.  Fascinating show and I've wondered if they weren't used in Iraq.

Last night on local news the insect mavs were mentioned for the first time since I watched the show.  Though I'd read about them on the net and seen a few pictures of the "dragonfly", I thought last night's news story was lame and late to boot.

I'll have to look Debbie up.  I don't remember reading about the mav.
