Rocket Man flies over Alps

I've just come across this clip of a Swiss airline pilot flying over the Alps, powered by a rocket-propelled wing. The guy must have nerves of reinforced steel!

Anyone remember GI JOE (80s version, not 60s)? Does that guy's backpack remind anyone else of those COBRA jet gliders?

I've seen some other guys use earlier versions of this, but the problem is usually landing. They typically have to turnoff their jets and parachute in. They usually can't take off from the ground either, and have to jump out of a plane.

If they have this down to taking off and landing, that is really cool, but this video didn't indicate that.

He has to close the wings and parachute to the ground, according to the titles on the video clip.
