I think Carrion makes legitimate points and has clearly justified further research into the likelihood the modern UFO phenomenon has been exploited and misrepresented by the powers that be. I realize he and his work have been criticised for various reasons, but I am of the opinion his research is primarily criticised because it raises insecurities and resulting hostilities among overly enthusiastic ETH-supporters. Moreover, I have yet to debate points of his work with someone who demonstrated a thorough understanding of it; it is often debunked by people who have not even reviewed Carrion's presentations and research papers enough to understand his primary points. One way or the other, I confidently think that if a former military intelligence analyst who engages in professional research practices, as in the case of Carrion, is willing to invest their resources in researching UFOs, they should be encouraged to continue.
