So do you think its CGI or what?

Not much to go on really. But, there is just something that looks funny regarding perspective in that clip. Like the spot is much much closer to the canopy than it is to the clouds -- as if it is even possibly a projection/reflection on the glass. Not sure though.

I will say right here that I am not qualified to state that as a fact, I am just telling you what I see.

I would like to believe that it is real. But I have no logic to call on, just a feeling. Buy the way, is that Roger Moore's voice?

I remember seeing a different piece of footage on a TV documentary many years ago; what was similar was that it showed a cylinder much the same as this one.

If I remember rightly, there are two main differences between the two pieces of footage. The first one I saw was said to have been filmed by a gun camera(I think) and showed only the sky with the fleeting glimpse of the cylinder. It was also said to be film released by the Russian(Soviet?) military and, to my mind(not that that's worth much!), looked more convincing.
It seems strange that this footage is not popular enough to be easy to find. It seems as if it has been buried. (paranoia or what?)
