I saw Richie Havens performing at a concert in upstate New York many, many years ago. I even had a ticket for Woodstock, but the program director of the radio station at which I was working at the time persuaded me to give him the tickets when he made me work that Saturday. Poetic justice: He got stuck on the highway due to heavy traffic and never made it there. :)

Gene, you know the old saying. If you can remember Woodstock, you weren't really there.
 
I have of course heard of richie but I'm not familar with his work. One song I did know of was his collaboration with groove armada, and the song title is a common theme here.
