Band of Brothers is one of my all-time favorite TV mini-series. Insightful look at what it must have been like serving in Easy Company during WWII. I especially liked Donny Walberg in the Bastogne episode that Tom Hanks directed. The opening shot is excellent.
Superb television...

uhh did I just say that?

Major,

I hope to see you in that big LZ in the sky when my time comes. God Bless Dick Winters, Oh yea, and God bless the Airborne! Oo Rah ...

Band of Brothers, and the Pacific were both masterpieces in telling the story of these men, but i bet they didnt even scratch the surface on the brave feats these men achieved in the name of freedom.

R.I.P

I meet a number of the WW2 Veterans from 'Band of Brothers TV Show at the Omaha Normandy Memorial Service in 2004 great bunch of guys and was proud to shake their hands and to all who serve in USA Airborne .
Mr Hanks is a great fellow indeed and was the late historian Professor Steven Ambrose . Furthermore, spoke to a number of German WW2 Veterans of the Normandy Campaign war is hell on all sides.
Lest We forget and may they rest in peace,
