Friendly Skeptic
Anyone here install yet? I'm tempted but after looking at the Apple forums, some people were reporting problems with Mail and other programs. It looks really cool though, and it has some nifty features.

i am using it as we speak. i have had no problems at all. it is very cool. it comes with an uninstaller if you have problems.
i am using a PPC dual 2.3 G5 tower. OSX 10.5.6 w/8gb ram

8 gigs of RAM; I now have RAM envy.
Thanks for letting me know. I'll check it out when I get home.
You don't need 8GB of RAM. It'll run fine on a whole lot less. In fact, one of the benefits of the new Safari is that it supposedly has a smaller memory footprint, and less memory leakage. Or at least that's what they say.

gene is correct. you don't need 8 gigs of ram. i use photoshop 12-15 hours a day and work with 600+ mb files quite often, and i dont even need that much ram. to be honest, i only installed that much to silence my friend who would not shut up about having 4 gigs of ram.

Yeah, there's no reason for me to need that much RAM at this time. The most taxing process I put my computer through is editing video in iMovie '09 and it runs that really smoothly.
