I ran across this morning and I wasn't able to pass judgement on it. Whether or not it was authentic or manufactured. What I found interesting is right near the end of the clip (9 sec) when one of the last blips passes through the clouds it illuminates the cloud. Ideas?

I'm not seeing that illumination --- would you describe it further?

Also, my "eyes" tell me these objects are close to the camera. Of course, this is subjective.

They are certainly between the camera and the clouds which seem to eliminate the "space weapons" idea.

I dont think the 'Space Weapons' description in the title is accurate as well... If you are watching at about 6 seconds you see the two blips coming down diagonally from the the top right, at about 9 sec the top light looks as though it passes through the clouds, as it does, directly above (around) the light it looks as though it illuminates part of the cloud. I think similar to as when aircraft pass through a cloud cover with landing lights on the cloud dispurses the light to a broader area; however, this is much brighter. I'm definately no expert on any atmospheric science but I would think the moisture contained in the cloud would have something to do with it. If my hypothosis holds water (hhehe) than it would mean whatever these lights are are further out interacting with the cloud at a distance.

Here's another vid of what looks to be the same thing:

It's weird how when they hit the ground that you can see no impact of any kind. They just sort of disappear.

One thing that I find interesting is that both of these views are being filmed by a stationary camera. This leads me to believe that the camera person must have been expecting to tape these or something else. Also, that they were probably both shot by the same person or persons.

Good point.

A theory: these videos are playing in reverse --- the "objects" are really ascending. Possibly rockets, or some kind've anti-aircraft armaments. I can't think of a way to test this theory, though....

That would make sense as it seems they are travelling on the same general trajectory. With such low res video its impossible to tell. The thing that caught my eye with the first one was the apparent refraction in the cloud. On the second vid there is nothing even close. Leads me to believe its more probable that someone just made this. Maybe somebody who knows something about lights and video and blinky stuff could weigh in.

Im guessing these are completely fake. As someone mentioned the cameras are stationary. It would also be very easy to create these white lights and animate them to move like that and behind the clouds.

Im calling bogus.
