Basically this is the so-called "fight or flight" response in action although in reality it's more of a fight/flight/fright reaction where you either stand your ground, run away screaming or become totally paralyzed. She seemed to hit a combo of options 2 and 3.

The fourth, ultra-rare reaction is laughter. Sometimes when you encounter something so terrifying it literally "breaks" your reality you start laughing.
