Shooting down UFO's Over England

Free episodes:

It's supposedly corroborated in newly released MoD files. I'll be downloading them later, although it'll take a while to go through them. I always tend to take anything the Sun says with a pinch of very sceptical salt - it's probably the UK's most sued tabloid.

Yes, the miserabale wretches in the UK media have been having their usual snarky games with news of today's MOD UFO files release. And we're only halfway through the day!

We had an interview at 6.30am on ITV with Nick Pope. The two presenters concluded by saying how cynical they were of the whole subject (er, based on what, exactly?) Then, a cartoon UFO graphic whizzed across the screen to much giggling in the studio. If you're going to shat all over a guest, ITV, have the decency to do it after he's left the building.

This lunchtime we had a BBC news interview with a young chap the BBC graphic department labelled a, "UFO Spotter" (!)
This was followed by the following exchange between the two presenters,

Presenter 1 : "So, have you ever seen a UFO?"
Presenter 2 : "Oh, I see them all the time. Have you?"
Presenter 1 : "Only when I've been drinking."

Other UK news channels have been interviewing the ubiquitous "UFO expert" and debunker, Dr David Clarke.

Sigh.

Any mention of little green men? Martians? References to tinfoil hats?

"It seems to weird and incredible to be true, surely tales about close encounters with unidentified flying objects belong to the world of science fiction"

"it should, it should"

Mention of the UFO over Heathrow airport case/near collision.

Lots of irrelevant video images of global satelite tracking, blury shuttle footage and something that looked like Hubble, a glob of metal and a close up of something that looked like a meteorite fragment.

No "Smoking Gun"

YES ..... "little green men" was mentioned.

"the truth is out there" giggle..... :(

That just makes me so angry. Fucking morons on they are.

I was stunned earlier tonight. On Channel 7 news in Australia - in the introductory news pieces announcement - the release of the UK UFO files was mentioned.

"Here we go", I thought. Waiting to the martian/giggle factor nonsense. When they got to the story it was presented in a respectable way, with mention of the particular case that was quoted above. Another case was mentioned and it was pointed out how strange both cases were as well as the amount of supposedly good witnesses describing alien contacts too.

And no bullshit comments from the presenters after the fact!

Does anyone know if Channel 7 is a NewsCorp channel? Actually no, 9 is.
