Paranormal Adept
Hey guys,

I've got a lot of work going on. I like to take frequent breaks so I don't end up hating it.

Help me strengthen my procrastination portfolio by directing me towards paranormal related videos that you find interesting, compelling, or just plain neat. If you feel like it, tell me why you think it's one, some, or all of those things.

Also, do any of you guys listen to other paranormal related podcasts? Can you recommend some? Right now, I listen to this podcast, "The Paranormal Podcast (with Jim Harold)," and "The Paranormal Underground." Harold mixes it up, having some of the same guests as this podcast and covering an eclectic range of topics. The Underground guys are more true believers, dealing mostly with ghost/demon/psychic related topics. I think ghosts are completely boring, but I enjoy the way these guys present the package (one of them professes to be a medium with a son who is also a medium). I'm always in the market for more paranormal (as well as design and game development) podcasts coming from any mindset.

Thanks,

George

Thanks, man, I'll check them out. Any particularly good episodes you can recall? Otherwise, I just download the last ten episodes of any podcasts I try out.

And, yeah, I've seen the elevator ghost, before. I laughed pretty hard, though i did share the concern of the other poster regarding shock and heart trauma; but, then I laughed again.

Yeah, 'Mysterious Universe' from Australia is a must on a friday night for me. It is very general and will cover major topics and listener stories.
Also, I've been listening to 'effedupstories' from Canada - they have a great site too and our own Chris O'Brien appeared on there recently talking about Skinwalker Ranch etc.

Both those places have plenty of the kind of stories you're after I'm positive. Guys like Micah Hanks and Nick Redfern regularly write for Mysterious Universe and it is jam-packed full of weird and wonderful stories in it's website. Literally hour upon hour's worth of great articles on the weirdest aspects of the paranormal.

Do post and tell us if you check any of these out and if you do, what you thought of them.

I also have listened to Jim Harold's show for years. He did a great video show for a while called 'The Paranormal Report' with another guy called Clayton Morris - they'd show and disect weird videos and do a round-up of the latest crypto/paranormal news.

Have fun!

Well for my part I'm kind of a "consciousness " type of guy, one whose interest in ufo leans towards the effect they have on us, I also soak up anything that dwells on synchronicity, mike c. is all about this and it was one of his earliest posts...look among his first archived shows...in which he spoke with mr. o'brien and helped me understand what chris was trying to get across. at any rate unless this type stuff turns you off there are no wrong choices here, nor with goggs selections as well.

hhhhmmm....I didn't know the lone ranger had a paranormal podcast show

a VERY bad joke, the man who played the Lone Ranger in those old serials...a different era...was named Clayton Moore BUT while we are on the subject of being lost, what was the meaning behind your post last week "ooh ta" ???

Check, I've never heard the two put together. I made a few trips some time ago down to the antipodes and heard "ta" a lot, especially from shopkeepers usually upon leaving. I assumed at first it was meant as "ta ta" as in goodbye and later found out it was thanks.

danish and i think some other scandinavian languages have the word 'tak' for thanks so they are all quite similar. i don't know if 'ta' is just short for thanks or if it is a modified 'tak' etc.

anyway, jimmy page writes the best riffs...lol

So far, I like effedupstories, a lot. Later tonight, while I stare at game code, I'll try out the Gralien report. I feel like I can only fully experience shows if I listen to a few episodes, and only take on one show a day. Eventually, they then work their way into my daily podcast rotation. I'll get to the others as the week goes on.
