Maybe Logic
Am I right people? Nick's new book is out and it looks like another winner. Ok, so it's his 148th book and number 27 this year, but I've never even heard of "the Collins Elite."

Wait, what!? Redfern's written 27 books this year?

Probably has become 28 since J.T. typed that. :)

But yeah, he has written quite a few. Despite his having written so many I don't have any of his in my collection (Got 2 of Chris's though). Not that I have a problem with his books, would like to add them eventually. Want to pick up Preston Dennet's stuff as well. I've just been so broke lately that I haven't been buying books from anyone these days. But hey, has anyone written as many UFO books as Jenny Randles? I don't know how many she's published but it seems like a whole lot. I'm guessing I might have nearly 10 by her and I know I am far from having them all.

Think Jenny Randles has written something like 50+ books, have a soft spot for her books as they were some of the first "grown up" UFO books I got out of the adult section of the library when I was a kid.
Nick's got a pretty impressive work rate, though I wish he'd finish his book on the British wildman soon! The various books he's done based on government files released under FOIA are solid pieces of research, and his on the road type books such as Three Men Seeking Monsters are massively entertaining.

Jesse Marcel Jr. has stated that he once spoke with a government official at Capitol Hill on the UFO subject. This person told Marcel Jr. there was a group within the government who knew that UFO's were real, but wouldn't say anything more. Was this person part of the Collins Elite? Maybe someone could ask Redfern about that.

Hiya. I think it's inevitable that there are groups within Government or military who 'know' UFOs are real. A lot of the Blue Book unknowns were multiple sightings from AFBs and even several hundred at an air show. There've been sightings since too.

Some witnesses will get promotions or end up in government. I imagine Jimmy Carter talked about his sighting with colleagues who'd also seen something.

I guess my point is that knowing they're real is the easy part...what they are is the mystery. This 'Collins Elite' might have known the UFOs are real...identifying them as Satan's demons here to harvest our souls in defiance of an Abrahamic God is were they lost their tiny minds. :)

Well I don't beleive they are "satanic demons" but I give that every bit as much creedence as I do the "we were seeded by spacemen" stuff.;)Who knows? Maybe they are the 'inspiration" for the angels and demons. Maybe we are the only planet with life floating around. Maybe we still have a lot to learn. ;)

That seems to be more plausible than the reverse and you have to wonder why this wouldn't be the larger question the C.E. would have seen for itself to suss out. If you connect myths, legends, and superstition to UFOs is it more likely that the primitive interpretations are true or technological explanations?

Totally agree there.

No angels or demons and no spacemen seeding stuff.

No maybes either....we have a lot to learn. :)

Of course, I have to add the sceptical caveat that by 'angels and demons' it's referring to Biblical hellfire BS and by 'spacemen seeding stuff' I mean the ancient astronauts hogwash lol

Preston Dennet -

Honestly the reason I come to the Paracast, whether it happens to rub me the wrong way or not that day, is because it has always been willing to explore the paranormal with a critical vantage. Sometimes I think they go overboard, other times I feel like people get a little bit of a free pass based on reputation. No one has 100% identical opinions on such un-proven topics.

That being said, having read a few of Nick's books, he is a fine guest but his work is barely a step above a long printed blog re-telling other people's stories while leaving the critical analysis out. I feel like they'd have another good discussion, but the terms "asking the hard questions" and "Nick Redfern" just don't seem like they belong in the same breath.
