Sitchin is wrong

Free episodes:

paraschtick

Paragilmorian guy
Here's one for all you 12th Planet/Planet X/Nibiru freaks. And I use the term pejoritively :D.

http://www.sitchiniswrong.com

It demolishes all the nonsense put out by Sitchin (wonder if Vaeni is watching :D) and shows that Sitchin knows nothing about ancient languages and is ... really surprising this ... a total fraud and kook.

Oh and the guy who set up the website, Michael S. Heiser, knows his stuff. He's got a PhD ... and he even posts his CV/resume so that one may check him out. More than old Sitchin ever does.

[There is a similar website here (which I've just posted elsewhere in the forums): http://www.bielek-debunked.com ... surprisingly it debunks Al Bielek notorious Philadelphia Experiment/Montauk kook and fraud]

Boy we need more websites like these :eek:8)

(para)schtick

ps Michael Heiser is actually interested in UFOs and does not dispute that the Sumerian and such texts may actually feature UFO incidents in them ... sounds like a future guest on the Paracast, no??

That is a great site. Thanks for posting it!

I really don't think you're likely to find and Sitchin supporters left on the board, Schtick. The last one I recall ran off with his tail tucked after recieving a thorough drubbing.

I remember hearing about Sitchin and his claims and the first thing that came to mind was "Wait...what?" I'm amazed people still, to this very day, buy into this BS. I'm glad to see there's no Sitchin supporting here.

I think some of Stitchin's findings were of interest, but I do realize that much of his translations were considered inaccurate. Like with many things, while much of it can likely be glossed over there are still some points of value in his work.

Von Daniken is still selling Chariots of the Gods. "Elephant island when seen from above is shaped like an elephant!" or some such BS. Sitchen has a good banter and probably honestly believes he is right. I wonder how we will all feel about Graham Hancock in 15 years.

BTW, Hancock and Daniken seem to share the same horrifically bad web designer as Hoagland. You cant tell me that someone is proud of these.

I read Chariots when I was a child and it launched me on this thrill ride I'm still on to a certain extent. Tried to read some of Sitchin's work never got through it too well.

I totally aggree with on the web designs of these sites. Horrible. This fascination with black backgrounds is amazing. I have great difficulty reading text on black backgrounds. After few seconds I get "window blind" after image in my eyes. I use a Firefox add on to change the colors if necessary.

News flash for you, folks. Heiser thinks that UFOs are an end times deception of Lucifer and his lot of rebellious, ne'er do well angels. It's pretty asinine, in my opinion, to blame a phenomenon that we know very little about on an imaginary being who has never been shown actually (or even probably) to exist.

As a web programmer, this always drives me nuts. Sometimes it's hard enough to take some paranormal/parapolitic stuff seriously, but it's near impossible when backdropped with some horrible, cluttered, disorganized and flat out ugly website. Though, even worse is when you get your typical marketing scam style site discussing topics like remote viewing and such. (Example: http://www.experienceastralprojection.com/interviews/steve/remote-viewing?lt=1969) The worst part is when they aren't even charging anything but still present the material this way. Quadrupling the font size and making it red does NOT make your claims any more legit.

Maybe they're using one of those free templates, where taste sometimes goes out the window.

In any case, glad to know about your professional qualifications. Maybe we'll call upon you next time we need help on our sites -- which is usually yesterday. :)

Yeah, that's true... and of course I'd help whenever possible. It seems a fair trade (for me anyway) for all the hours of listening pleasure that I get from the show. :)

Van Daniken's core theory is interesting but his "evidence" is lackluster at best. Take Peru for instance. Has anyone, EVER reported a UFO needing to land or take off in a fashion that required a runway? I don't think so.

I think the folks in the Nazca region had some very advanced surveying skills. They also had easy access to San Pedro cactus. If you really wanna go sci-fi with it, they may have had hot-air balloons. They may have been in communication with aliens, too. Who knows?
I can say, with some confidence, that there are at least some UFO's that don't require a runway. These are the ones I've seen personally. If there is one that requires a giant monkey or hummingbird shaped runway to take off and land, it sure would be cool to watch.
