Site Suggestion

I noticed on the Paracast's main page that you are calling for people to share their experiences on the forum. How long this has been posted there, I don't know, I may not have noticed it. Anyway, a subforum called "Your Experiences" might be helpful, because some people may not know where to specifically to post their experiences.

Some experiences are just so High Strangeness as to not fall easily into a existing subforum. Some, while not so highly strange, could go different ways depending how you define them, and the act of defining them itself influences the narrative. Dorothy Izzat comes to mind--it ostensibly falls into the ufology camp, but really it could be interpreted as many other things. Well, that case aside, you get the idea.

I think that is a good suggestion. Having a separate furum that could cover any type of paranormal experience would be easier. I think it would be helpful to other people if people started talking abuot their experiences that are too strange to talk about even on this furum.

It's recent, actually, folks. As to putting up a special section, the only thing is that some of you have already posted your experiences here. It will take some time to cull out those threads and move them -- but we'll consider it.

I can see your point. I think it's a good idea, but I would hate to make extra work for you guys.

I was originally inspired to make this post because my own transformative experience, which will turn one year old in October, could be either ufo related, or ghost related, or I don't know what. It was a big event for me, but I honestly don't know how to categorize it.

Perhaps General Freewheeling Chit Chat, after all.

I think it's a GREAT idea! The "It Happened To Me" section is always the first one I turn to in Fortean Times (both in the magazine and in their forums).

@Gene - while it might be nice to go through the forums and pull out relevant topics from the past, I don't really see that as being necessary. Just start it up and let it go from now maybe?
