truTV is broadcasting the Jessie Ventura "skinwalker" episode tonight on truTV at 9 pm MT, featuring yours truly. I watched the trailer and noticed they sliced and diced my in-site interview to make it sound like I claim that "two people were killed" on the ranch... I never said this in the context it was used. I hope this isn't another example of your typical Follyweird BS! I will reserve complete judgment until after I watch the episode. I was also promised a "associate producer credit" ... yeah, we'll see about that too... *grumble*

Ouch. It sounds like they just called you a wuss for not wanting to trespass and possibly get shot. I thought that was rather tacky on their end, going for cheap soundbites. I'd love to know what you thought of the interview and if that was an accurate representation of what happened.

Yeah, welcome to Follyweird-land. Uh-huh, right... Like, I'm going to trespass onto the private property of a billionaire I've been dog'in publicly for over 15 years? I don't think so!
I let you all know what I think about the show after I've seen it...

This show always disappoints me by failing to include the key players in many of these cases. In the Area 51 episode they spent half the time interviewing Michael Schratt while ignoring George Knapp (who broke the story wide open) John Lear, Bob Lazar, Gene Huff, Norio Hayakawa, Glen Campbell etc.... I realize many of these people are very controversial, but their connection to the story is unavoidable. You can't do an honest examination of the base from a conspiracy perspective without them.

Hopefully in the Skinwalker case, Ventura interviews George Knapp!

If the ranch was in the UK, you can bet half of Britain would be trespassing right up to the house but since it's in the Very Wild Wild West - where you have the right to machine-gun such people for stepping on your garden - well I absolutely respect owner's boundaries Stateside.

Am watching a really bad copy on youtube - first thought:

Does anyone else think Jesse's voice sounds like a 45rpm recording played at 33rpm? It sounds like it's been slowed down (I mean always he sounds like that). Sorry if you're too young to understand about the vinyl reference!

I'll be interested in finding out from one of the executive producers I know what exactly they were forced (supposedly by the network) to remove, change or add to the segment that was already completed and in-the-can. When I spoke to him a couple of months ago, he said the original show edit was "great," and what they were forced to change watered it down. He said, "The original show was great, now its only good." My guess would be all of the descriptions of events that occurred on the ranch that myself and Ryan Skinner mentioned during our interviews were left out. They interviewed me for almost 2 hrs and used absolutely none of my soundbites and that's fine with me—their check cleared the bank. It does piss me off that they took a comment I made about rumors of the alleged death(s) that supposedly occurred at the ranch and edited my comments to make it sound like I was claiming that I knew that people had died there. Typical Follyweird! I'm actually a bit relieved that they used practically none of my interview — it's not healthy to piss off billionaires. As to the trespassing on private property bit, hell no I wouldn't climb the fence of property being protected by ex-military armed guards working for Bigelow. That would be plain stupid. I'd rather be an alive wuss then a dead trespasser. Let the young bucks gamble and take the risks... As to their treatment of the weird light they claimed was a UFO. They jazzed up the event and made it sound way more sensational than it actually was. It was just an out-of-place light. It didn't zig-zag or do any of the maneuvers that they claimed. Ryan was there and he can back me up on that. All-in-all, I think they did a good job revealing BAASS and Bigelow's apparent influence, but Preston Dennett's conclusion about Bigelow escaping an "alien invasion" sounded absolutely ludicrous to me and this totally trashed the believability of the show, IMO. Maybe that was by design... (?)

So they had an interesting 'light in the sky' sighting outside the ranch boundary. I would consider that more interesting than an average such sighting because it is surely well away from any normal flight paths etc. What could that light have been?

@Chris - you've said something along the lines of that the episode was delayed/re-edited etc. Do you have any inkling whatsoever as to what might have been cut from the episode?

Also, Chris I don't think you came off too bad. It was only a voice over by Jesse saying something like Ryan Skinner is not as afraid as Chris O'Brien to go there etc BUT he didn't cross the boundary either and Mr Stone didn't get too far (during the day) before turning back. If you are supposed to be some coward then I didn't see anyone else showing much bravado. I think you were perfectly honest and sensible. I'd love to go up there but I wouldn't be trespassing on anyone's private property. Way too many guns in America to make that a good idea.

(oh and Mr. Navy SEAL sends his minions and doesn't go himself. you can only call someone a coward if you show you can do what they can't. calling someone afraid from an editing suite does not count. let's see Jesse trespass onto the Skinwalker Ranch himself....)

Until I speak w/ the producer at A. Smith I won't know for sure, but my guess would be any mention of the book Hunt for the Skinwalker, and descriptions of the events that have occurred at the ranch. Any direct ID'ing of the actual location. My guess would be that Bigelow would only agree to be on camera if he had the right to demand certain things be taken out. I gave them some incredible stuff and the director and producers were REALLY excited and happy about my interview and told me they were blown away by some of my descriptions of the activity at the ranch. NONE of this was used...None of Ryan's excellent personal encounters were used either. Someone definitely sanitized what was stated about the nature of activity reported on the ranch... Obviously, I need to watch it again... the shitty Youtube version was all I've seen, but I have a friend that recorded it, so I will be able to watch and listen more carefully...

Chris, what do you think attacked mr. stone when he jumped the gate and started to walk towards the ranch and felt that pain in his leg. do you think it was a new weapon of some sort that the property is using for trespassers or maybe a weapon from the Anomalous Presence that is on the ranch. Also, do you think they will release the dvd of this season with all the footage taped for this episode?

To be perfectly honest, we set up the episode to appear that way... I was the one that introduced them to the ranch and handed over the team to Ryan after my 1.5 hour-long interview. That was the original approach which obviously was changed because of the re-edit. I dramatically told them at the end of my interview that "I wouldn't set foot on the ranch, but Ryan has snuck on on numerous occasions, so you should talk w/ him." I was actually w/ them with them the entire time, but standing off-camera. I would have gone w/ Sean, but it wouldn't have worked because they had already supposedly left me. Hell yeah, I would have climbed the fence w/ cameras rolling, (but NOT at night). I wasn't supposed to be with them at that point.

Speaking of climbing fences, In fact, I just did an episode for a show on TLC where we climb the fence at the Bradshaw Ranch and walk down to the ranch building. This is the location (near Sedona) where extremely weird stuff went on throughout the 80s and 90s and the government appropriated the ranch 10 years ago and has forbidden anyone to go on it. I'm no wuss, I've gone where I wasn't supposed to go (military installations, haunted sites I could tell you stories... lol) but I do know when NOT to take undue risks.

He probably just weirded himself out, he did seem weak and shaky though for awhile though. Maybe security personnel have some sort of directed beam weapon to ward off trespassers (?) Naw... Was it aliens? Uhh, NAW... He seemed to be fine after a few minutes. What you didn't see on the episode was the fact that he was gone almost ten minutes and probably walked several hundred yards down the driveway. He was way out of sight and described the ranch house and surroundings, so he did walk quite a way down the driveway...

I admit I thought the bit where they said, "Ryan Skinner is not as afraid as O'Brien," was in rather poor taste, especially as Ventura couldn't be bothered to go to the ranch himself. I don't think there's anything wrong about having a brain and not wanting to face the very real possibility of getting shot. I live in the rural mountains and there's no way in hell I'd venture onto anyone's property at night, regardless of whether or not there was security or even a gate. Guns speak louder than words....

I also thought the program used some rather cheap shots and poor logic for easy thrills. For one thing, I could find absolutely no reason why the interview with Zach Van Eyck had to be outdoors and at night, coupled with footage of police patrols - except to give the illusion of extra danger. I get that they needed some footage to boost ratings but I doubt they HAD to have a nighttime interview in front of the locked gates of a building with the police driving around. Even if they had to do a nighttime interview (which I doubt), why pick some shady-looking area and not just talk over coffee at a diner or fast food restaurant, or even in a hotel room? Cheap drama. I also take issue with the jumps in logic they made about Bigelow, trying to assume that a small space capsule COULD ONLY exist so he and his friends can escape an alien invasion. All of this diminished some genuinely interesting things that came out in the program, such as Bigelow's involvement in any UFO investigation.

I had never before seen Venetura's program and none of this inspires me to watch on a regular basis.

My only problem with theories like this and the backstory is this whole concept of being afraid of private folks wanting to venture out in certain areas. The implication is that were this the "wonderful benficient government" there'd be nothing to worry about. This guy wanting to fill the void left from NASA being defunded to feed the mouths of generational welfare eaters is fine by me. It's the only way space travel progress will occur moving forward.

Yeah true, but you obviously haven't watched many James Bond movies... Generally people w/ a lot of money are manipulative, arrogant and ridiculously self-absorbed., but the problem I have w/ Bigelow is that he is so secretive and unwilling to work w/ outsiders. I prefer the team-player—share and share alike approach myself...

And when the Alien Apocalypse comes to us Earth-bound sods, and Bigelow lifts-off for his new life.........in a glorified tin-can orbiting the Earth.

What a load of drivel. It's not like Bigelow's space-stations can go anywhere? He'd have to come back to Earth sometime. That Preston fellow is absolutely BillyMeier-MichaelHorn-nuts!

Oh, and while I'm at it - I really do understand that to make good visual TV etc you often need to set up a shot to make it more interesting than it otherwise might be. That's all well and good but is it really necessary that every time Jesse goes to see Alex Jones, he has to go and meet him like in the middle of the desert? Like they have to have this seriously off the grid meeting to protect themselves? It's like kids playing spies! (I love this emoticon)
