Stan Friedman, Jacque Vallee, Tony Blair, to speak at same event.

Yeah, I heard about this in Friedman's recent interview. Some may see this as a step closer to disclosure or whatever but what I see in it is fishing on the part of officials in Saudi Arabia. Because no government in the world knows anymore about this subject than civilian groups they are likely putting this together because they are hoping the panelists can tell them something about it. Those working in government are probably just like the rest of us, split down the middle. Some of them believe and/or are interested, some don't believe and could care less. But in the end they are operating on data nearly identical to our own. The funniest thing to me is realizing that there has got to be a lot of people in government wondering what their bosses know. And their bosses likely wonder what their bosses know. Then the people at the very top are wondering, "Why aren't they telling me? They should be telling me!" But alas, there's little or nothing for any of them to be told.

....and for the cost of admission you could practically zoom to Zeta Reticuli and find out for yourself.

I am personally very interested in what was discussed during the panel discussion. I don't expect any "disclosure" of any kind from the US, any form of revelation would cause to many ongoing problems for the people responsible for it.

But there does seem to have been a slow change of attitude over the last few years and the most important thing for me is 1; Having a Panel like this invited to attend. 2. Michio Kaku sitting next to the likes of Vallee, Pope and Friedman on the same panel.

This will impact certain people to look at the data. When a debunker like Shostak or Nye publically make fools of themselves when denouncing the subject, then we can point out that one of thier own and one of the worlds most famous scientists (in the same league as Hawking) seems to think there is something to the subject, and to speak to this person before coming on anotehr TV show and making false accusations and assumptions.

It is my view that we need the infrastructure and finance of major scientific establishments to figure out what is going on here. Multi-disiplinary teams with access to top class labs and equipment. We need science on side and I can never really understand why during debates why UFO researchers don't attack the very core of these debunkers. Attack thier ability to practice science! We know they have never looked at the data! The admit as much when asked. Is judging a book based on just its cover a scientific way to operate? It goes against the very priciples of the scientific method. We sometimes call the likes of Shostak sceptics, which is accurate for ALL scientists not just debunkers. A skeptical scietists can easily be convinced if they review the data and draw conclusions based on the data alone, without predijuce.

The likes of Friedman & Vallee deserve a huge amount of respect for all the work done over the years. We do not all agree with everything they say but both command respect and represent the UFO community pretty well. Friedman is known for Roswell and MJ-12, both side issues for me. But he did huge amounts of work before these in many cases around the world. Vallee is the guy that back in the 70's was 30 years ahead of everyone else. What a mind! Perhaps the likes of Kaku will have an impact in many ways, for the students he teaches will go on to become world famous scientists themselves and will remember his UFO interests. And for current academics with an interest (private interests by professionals are numerous) maybe bolstered by Kaku and his brave stance.
