Here are some fan made movies and to be honest there are many that put Lucas to shame and many ignore that the prequels ever happened lol.

First one:

Not a bad script and it has a nice original flavor to it. The acting is a little clunky but it more than makes up for that in its passion to bring a cool idea to life.

I give this one a 4 out of five for originality alone.


Movie is in three parts


Next:

The Dark Resurrection series is not bad at all and thanks to the fact that it is not in English I get that other world feeling that none of the prequels could give me.
The production values on this one are off the charts so sit back and enjoy.
It is a little cheesy in places but I give this one a good 4 and a half for simply existing at all.


This is an add on to the above movies.


Ok Last one for now:

This is very short but nice and cool if you are into lots of light saber flashy stuff (personally I feel the light saber is way over used in fan made stuff but not as bad as Lucas did in his prequels)

Just enjoy this one for what it is.

 
I know I'm going to take some shit for this but here goes...
I do have an affinity for Star Wars, from when I was a kid, but my fondness for it ends there. I hate how recently it has been hijacked by Thousands of pseudo-fans. I can't get on the computer without a deluge of Star Wars crap. Lets be honest it wasn't that good a trilogy. Yes it created a vivid and interesting universe, but the acting and story are shit. It got worse with each retelling. Between Lucas taking every cash grab to the point of ad nauseam and the "Big Bangers" highjacking the things I like I feel like I'm going to start letting blood out of every orifice. So in summation...
I don't want to see your grill converted into R2D2.
I don't want to see Darth Vader and the Emperor have a rap battle.
I don't want to see young girls sing about han solo in there under garments.

LOL like all opinions I really don't care.. all in all I agree with some of which you say but since this was a thread for star wars fans why comment at all :)

I in fact like both Star Wars and Trek, I also like Babylon 5, and enjoyed Star Gate (Well some of it). It is brain candy and fun, that's it, so I don't go in for this I hate this and that crap.

We all know Lucas was a dick and the first three films were better and the last three he did sucked monkey balls, but again its brain candy and meant to be fun.

You know if you hate star wars so much than watch this I am sure you will like it.


I will point out that he is even more scathing of the Star Trek (Wreak) franchise.

I thought George Lucas didn't want any fan-made Star Wars stuff posted on the internet, or was that just a nasty rumor?

Snidelys' post and honesty acknowledged, Star Wars still kicks ass.
At least episodes 4 (A New Hope) and 5 (The Empire Strikes Back) kick ass,.....5 especially is the best of them all.
6 was pretty bad because of the Ewoks.
1 was just bad , and was made magnitudes WORSE by Jar Jar (pukin') Binx (DEATH TO JAR JAR:mad:!!!!!! )
2 & 3....well.......I won't bother. Lucas just whored himself into a ton of money is all I can say.

But I do agree with SNidely that Star Trek is MUCH better. But when it comes to Star Wars I'll always be a 13 year old kid just totally blown away in that darkened movie theater way back in 1978.
 
I agree Star Trek kicks ass and on the science level it makes sense in a way that Star Wars never could.
But I still love Star Wars and The Empire strikes Back is the best :-) ... why because it is dark.
 
Honestly, I am a fan but I not at the level of some. The kid in my still remembers how much I loved the movies and toys. When Darth Vader came on the screen for the first time I almost crapped my pants. :) I guess I'm just sick of the over saturation of it on the net.

Thanks for posting these. I personally couldn't care less what anyone else says, I've been in love with Star Wars since I saw the original when I was 9 years old. It opened my mind to larger concepts and started my love affair with science fiction. Yes, the prequels were shit for the most part, I do like some of ROTS, mainly the lightsaber fights which are amazing. The universe that Lucas created is beautiful and timeless. I always found Star Trek boring in comparison but to each their own. My favorite science fiction universe will always be Dune, but Star Wars holds a special place in my heart, even if Lucas stole many of his concepts from Dune and most of his film making techniques and some of the original movies plot points from Akira Kurosawa.:p
 
Anyway, SW still totally kicks ass. I love Star Trek too but it never has the same excitement as SW. Trek movies were always a disappointment for me, tho of course watchable just cos I'm a fan.

I accept I find it hard to listen to criticism about the Sci-Fi I like and what that says about me - who knows!

Fave SW scenes: in no order at all - AT-AT/snowspeeder fight, speederbike endor chase, the emperor's goading of luke into a fight - I swear it's very sexual (not my flavour tho).

SHIT! chewie and lando racing thru the new death star and just getting out as it explodes! (funny how they just make it eh?)

My ultimate SW scene....Luke and Darth Vaders fight scene at the cloud city..."Luke,... I am your father!"
My ultimate SW Fantasy scenes....Jar Jar being vivisected alive.....Jar Jar being sucked into a pod racer engine.....Jar Jar being eaten slowly by the big critter in Jabba's hideout....Jar Jar falling into the Sarlak pit....
Pretty much anything involving pain and suffering to Jar Jar.

Here's my Star Wars question, why didn't the force tell Luke that he was making out with his sister? You'd think ole Ben Kenobi would've popped up and said "Hold up man! That's your sister! Sick bastard!" I mean, surely, the fact that you're smooching your sister is just as important as "Get your ass to the Dagobah system" Where's Obi Wan when you really need him?!?

LOL. That scene with her in the bikini on a chain at Jabbas is one of the hottest scifi moments ever. Then you see what she looks like these days and it almost ruins it, but not quite!
 
You should check some phots Mike posted - he contends Leia and Chewie may have had an affair. When you see the phots, you'll understand. Can't remember the thread but Mike will.
