Tonight in Northern AZ somewhere off Route 66 I was watching the NE night sky as we drove home. I could see a flashing cluster of lights in the distance, somewhat like a tear drop shape. It looked like one of those star fields you see on TV but had a somewhat bluish light to it not the hazy whitish light you might associate with a star field. It was not exactly like a strobe because the time between off and on had no rhythm to it. It would flash off and on intermittently but with no predictability as to how far apart. Every few flashes, it would appear more as a large whitish star toward the bottom. It was almost like a neon sign. I would say it was closer to the horizon than it was to the top of the sky and I observed it for more than ten minutes. Spouse also saw it. He went on his car forum after coming home and said some people there are reporting seeing it as far away as Tennessee and someone thinks it it Sirius. Anyone else experience this?

Please edit the poll to reflect what what 'This Is" means. It's clear in this thread, but not in our forum's sidebar, where many see the polls. Thanks.
