So, the city decided to do some roadwork right outside the house. You cannot begin to comprehend how loud it is. They have machines outside that I'm pretty sure would make noise in the depths of space. I can't even hear myself think let alone the TV, or anything else for that matter.

They're actually tearing up half the street, and good lord it's fricking deafening. The only thing that comes close to this level of noise, are the voices in my head when I go to Best Buy.

I might have to sleep in the studio today away from the noise.
 
file a complaint with your city. You can buy a DB reader for about 250 bucks and there are certain limits for noise polution.

I have to quote jobs in residential areas and provide municipalites with DB readouts on our equipment.

That, or call your friends with guitars and full stacks and have a shitshow of a party.
