having had flu shots the last 5 years or so, I would disagree, I am still kicking, and so far, touch wood 3 times, I haven't had an annual bout of flu, either. Whether or not I would have had it without the shot, I have no idea, especially as it is mostly a guessing game as to whether or not the shot has the current variety of antigen required to prevent this year's flu.
However, I don't have a bugaboo about vaccinations, had they been available earlier in the 50s, my dad would have been a lot healthier.
