This is the real threat posed by swine flu: the potential to create a "boy who cried wolf" mentality so that if (god forbid) an actual epidemic of lethal proportions arises people will be too brazen and think "Aw, it's just another "swine flu" scare..." and if that happens we're in BIG trouble.

Shame on the media and every fringe lunatic with a microphone for hyping this crap up before the facts were known.
