Well I guess we need to get this notion of "spirituality" nailed down then first before we can make any progress don't we?

That's a very sensible statement and something I've spent considerable time contemplating. However it can also become a real quagmire to unravel unless one is prepared to set aside religious and mystical belief systems and consider the subject in as objective a light as is possible. Then we find ( or at least I was able to find ) that the puzzle comes into focus. This doesn't mean we have all the answers. There are still pieces missing, and too few to be entirely sure about all the details. But I believe we're still further ahead ( though many would also probably still disagree based on faith or denial ).

When I use the word alien in the context of ufology, I mean natural or engineered objects or phenomena from outside the boundaries and constructs of our global civilization including secret programs, and possibly but not necessarily ET. Natural objects would include things like asteroids or organisms that have been transplanted from one environment to a non-native environment. Engineered objects would include alien craft ( UFOs ). To be more precise, UFOs are transports capable of flight that have been constructed by alien beings, and are possibly but not necessarily piloted by them.

Aliens may or may not be EBEs. They could be machine AIs or biologically identical to humans. Of all these possibilities the only thing I personally believe is that UFOs are real and have been observed and/or detected by some people here on  Earth, and I'm only 100% about one of those people ( myself ). Beyond that it's not reasonable to believe nobody else has had a similar or better sighting, but I haven't seen sufficient evidence to say with certainty who those individual people are.
