Edition 297 – Channel Islands UFO « The Unexplained Paranormal Podcast with Howard Hughes
So I recently heard this absolutely riveting interview with Ray Bowyer, the pilot in the Channel Islands case from 2007 who clearly saw two identical brightly illuminated craft (roughly a mile across by his estimation) “hanging in the air” over the English Channel, and it’s incredible how much supporting evidence this case seems to have:
1.) The data from not one but two different radar tracking stations
- Jersey Air Traffic Control (ATC) radar tape data from their Elvira® radar system
- Guernsey radar tracking station returns overlayed with Jersey’s returns in both tape and print form
2.) Independent eyewitness confirmation from another pilot on a nearby aircraft who responded to the Guernsey ATC request for visual confirmation
3.) A 160-page scientific study of the event which concluded that the sighting remains unexplained
4.) Supporting testimony from three passengers aboard the aircraft, two of whom filed official reports and have subsequently spoken about the incident
Have any of The Paracast forum ufologists done any research into this case? Apparently the radar data that the pilot originally acquired from the ATC office had lost his copy of the tape, but another copy was recently located by French researchers and is now being converted into a video file for public scrutiny. Bowyer says that the radar tape shows both unidentified craft appearing and disappearing at the same time.
I’d like to know if anyone can confirm the existence of this evidence. Disbelievers often claim that there’s no scientific evidence to support the ufo phenomenon, but this one appears have it in spades.
