The Dangers of Ufology

Free episodes:

The man's eyes alone tell untold volumes of crazy. Do a little experiment. Pause the video at any given time, and cover the top of his head and bottom of his face with your hands so you can only see his eyes. What do you see?

This should be the title of the thread IMO.

This doesn't really have anything to do with UFO's or ufology being dangerous.

WRONG dude! It has everything to do with it.
Many come to these UFO forums & media to find answers to a higher life & meaning than the one they live.
Disillusioned from religion & society as a whole, they seek comfort in the dream of a better world/reality far from this one.
The average Joe just gets drunk/stoned & goes back to work on Monday.
Us "Intellects" get our giggles & thrills delving in the paranormal..never sure if it's real or not..

Cults will prey on the vulnerable regardless of what they're affiliated with. I don't personally think it has everything to do with the belief of UFO's directly even though they were well known in the UFO circles. Heaven's Gate was a religious cult. They used UFO's as a medium for their lunacy. They could have opted for Baked Beans instead of UFO's and they still would have had some crazy ass followers.

There are plenty more groups out there that have cultish behavior. The paranormal for example. Most of the people I've met have had some kind of cultish attribute or two. Their leaders especially.

The scary thing is, intellect bares very little on who joins these groups. I believe the women involved in the Manson killings were A Grade students.

The dude is freaky looking.

Essentially all I'm saying is that it isn't about UFO's. It could very well be about leprechauns or cloud formations or the Virgin Mary in the mashed potatoes. It doesn't matter. Does that make mashed potatoes or clouds dangerous?? No, it's just the vehicle whereby these people were "taken" from ALL reality.

I think this is what Jose Collado was refferring to as well. Cultists are equal opportunity seekers looking in whatever niche they can to find their followers. Sometimes it is UFO's, or the occult, or widows, or auto union workers, or whatever. This isn't to say that each of these is equally dangerous, it just happens that a certain portion of people from all walks and interests are susceptible to these cretans, not just ufology.

Either way the guy, and more importantly, what he accomplished is rather horrifying and surely unnerving. And my guess is "the beat goes on" right??

Humanity will always have these vermin. The vehicle of their manipulation is always something that is currently expedient but usually with a religious affiliation, since religion is, by definition, something that requires faith -- i.e. No proof needed. Just get stupid, naive and/or desperate people in a frenzy and take control of their minds, and then actions.

The fact that some people use the UFO phenomenon as their vehicle is not surprising. But, the only people that would be duped into any UFO cult are those that treat it as a religion already. The "doe-eyed" ones as David would put it.

Anybody trying to look at the facts scientifically would not be duped into something like that and is not in danger.

That is why shows like the Paracast are so important. No religious influences fly here. Tough look at the facts and good analysis and cross-examination of guests is always expected.
