Just wondering and all, I've been reading about, looking into and investigating the paranormal for years (since I was presented a Peter Underwood ghost book many moons ago, if you don't know him google the man - his style is impeccable), and now 20 years later we're no closer to any anything.

Hark, I hear you say, what about the theories, them of the late great (and I do like the man) Mac Tonnies, how about them crypto terrestrials. Well to me to answer to a question that hasn't already been solved with an equally wild, yet similarly unprovable answer bears no weight. It's like replacing god with a glove puppet of infinite magnitude. Neither one fulfills it's purpose, but at least people are occupied for a while.

So where, and why, and how. Should we just be happy there are things we don't understand and let them happen, safe in the knowledge we will never understand until the time comes that we are meant to. Or, keep pondering until we either go crazy or get selected to Project Serpo.

I'm confused and I really need a wee!

I would suggest that those of us who are attracted to these sorts of subjects are attracted to them precisely because of the mysteries involved. If any of these mysteries actually got solved, we'd dump them in a heartbeat because they no longer would provide a mysterious element. It's like we don't care what state we are in as long as we are in the state of transportation. "The journey is the reward" and all. (Sorry that doesn't translate well to provinces!)

So beating our heads against the wall starts to feel good after awhile. Maybe, one of these days, someone will actually bust through the wallboard to the other side.
