I love it. According to that group, William James' idea that there is something else to reality is considered "magical thinking". That's about the dumbest and most arrogant thing I've ever heard.

Go to the conference, and watch as humanity takes another bold step into the grand frontier of self-imposed ignorance and denial, all in the name of ego and security.
 
As much as science has given us, we have also lost out on a lot. People would like to think that everything is quantifiable, repeatable, easy to categorize, debunk and forget. It makes life simpler for them.
