Paranormally Disenchanted
Bill Gaede on the Rope Model of light and the atom vs. Quantum Mechanics/Electric Universe wave/field model of light and the bead/cloud model of the atom.

I would love to hear Bill Gaede interviewed either on the Paracast or DarkMatters. I have heard him say absolutely nothing about UFOs or the paranormal, however his Rope Hypothesis is fascinating and is in direct opposition to the quantum hokum nonsense that gets cited by people on the UFO/paranormal talk show circuit so often.

Check out his other videos on his youTube channel.

What do you mean by "opposition to the quantum hokum nonsense" I have heard doctors from universities talk about quantum mechanics and entanglement. I honestly think one problem with pop science is we are stuck listening to one expert debunk the last expert. But, such is the world we live in. The word of a Nobel Prize laureate like Brian Josephson is reduced to a snarky comment by an old magician and "logic" is once again saved from the barbaric hoard.

"I look at those people and I say, 'Bring it. I'm a Scientologist, man. What do you want to know?' I don't mind answering questions."

Well, I see my work PC has blocked out most of the post Trained made. Sorry, T.O. in case the other part answered my question. Maybe I better wait until I get home this evening to comment on things I can't even see at the moment. :p

The rest of that thought was "...that gets cited by people on the UFO/paranormal talk show circuit so often."

I guess the primary offenders are the whole What the Bleep, The Secret, and The Many Worlds kind of believers/theorists.

I agree, you should probably watch the videos before deciding what you think about the theory. Also, I just caution you right now, if your faith in it is such that you don't want to entertain the notion (at least for about 20 minutes) that relativity and quantum mechanics might be dead wrong, don't watch them.

If you are going to quote Tom Cruise you should attribute it to him. Someone might think you are a Scientologist or something.

Good points Rick. I will watch and then talk about it. On the other thing. I have already been labeled as believing the following although I don't for the life of me remember stating these things on the forum as my beliefs: Bodies coming out of tombs, six day creation, walking on water, raising bodies from tombs, godmen who can save your soul. So, fuck it what's a little scientology among friends. :p

I guess I should also point out that the the quantum hokum nonsense comment is me just playfully echoing Gaede. I don't presume to be a scientist, physicist, or mathematician. Gaede's theory does makes sense to me, much more so than quantum theory does, but I am an ignorant layman in these matters.
