The Status of DMR

Ladies and Gentlemen, a quick note to let you all know how we stand at DMR. Through your very generous donations and support I was able to order a computer that will serve as a dedicated system just for DMR. I am hoping that I should have it in a week or so and we will be able to continue forward. Tonight, Dec. 6, DMR will go forward as scheduled using a “loaner.”

What can I say at this point? I am totally humbled by all of your generous support for DMR and myself. I have always strived to “carry my own water” and have found it very difficult to ask for help. This situation was no different and I really struggled with myself as to whether to ask for assistance or not. When I did, I was totally floored at the response. I am so grateful that it is hard to put into words what I currently feel. Thank you for your warmest of responses, your support and all your good wishes. This is a tough time of year with responsibility for our families, friends and the Christmas Season. What you all did at this time of year makes this doubly special for Rich, Vicki and myself. God Bless to all and we truly hope you all have a wonderful and special Holiday.

Also, let me say that I have always felt a special appreciation for Gene and The Paracast. Gene gave me a spot here for Dark Matters Radio a number of years ago and I have always supported The Paracast and Gene for his very generous donation to a DMR site here on The Paracast. If you can support The Paracast in any way I urge you to do what you can. Doing a show and a website as extensive as The Paracast is not easy in any way and it takes a lot of time and a lot of effort. Show your support for what Gene does and what he provides. And I hope you can tune in this evening!

As a listener of the paracast and one who loves the show rikki and I intend to send the paracast a holiday gift! We have budgeted this gift on our mid month check. And with 4 kids money is tight! But I urge everyone to follow this example and send our host something! Let's. Give gene and chris a merry christmas!
 
Fantastic news Don and thanks to all especially Gene for the support for DMR. I haven't had the funds yet myself but it's on the way! Just goes to show you how many people enjoy quality alternate information, and they came through. Congratulations Don so glad you are back.
 
Want to thank you don for the hours of quality entertainment and education DMR has provided me. I'm English (I know I'm sorry) You've never met and we live continents away. You always make us feel part of it that for me is the beauty of radio in the right hands you can make the loneliest of situations feel like your having a few cold ones with buddies. My only regret is I can't afford to give you what your worth

Moon, what a great missive. As it happens Amigo, your in luck! I've always had a "soft spot" in my heart for all you Brits (except for that maniac Vampire Hunting Bishop that lives in ... wherever in hell it is in the UK ..somewhere close to the ocean ... and if he lived here I might be in trouble cause I told him I would love to kick his ass ... but that is another story .. sorry I digress) and one of the best trips Vicki and I ever took was in 1997 when I spoke at the BUFORA conference in Sheffield. We loved our time in the UK. SO ---- so glad you find the show of benefit and of interest. The show's audience has always been fully supportive for DMR and for that I am extremely grateful!

Happy Holidaze Gene & Chris! And thank you right here and now for turning me on to Don's show which I honestly found out about through the Paracast, albeit I have appreciated he and his wife's work for MANY moons. Don, you're next on Santa's hit list so please just keep being YOU.

I remember now what I was going to ask you. Kevin Smith always mentioned he
could tell a good show by all the Pentagon and NSA computers logged to his site.
Do they eaves drop here and on your show too? Can you really tell where listeners are from?
