The U.S. Media and UFOs

I have noticed that quite a proportionately large amount of news links and video clips posted on here seem to be from British media sources and websites which surprises me as I guess this is predominantly a US forum. I was just wondering if this means that the US media are much less likely to discuss UFO stories than here in the UK.

The news reports here in the UK aren't exactly common but have definitely becaome more so over the past five years or more and I think have really increased over the last year. The Telegraph and The Sun are particularly active in this regard and have their dedicated sections.

Perhaps they realise the popularity of the subject. Or maybe we are further up the disclosure ladder.

The local news media here, in the Washington DC metro area, tends to cover football, politics, pop culture and traffic/weather; in that order. Anything else seems, well, to be beneath them.

Or I could be a conspiracist and say "they're not allowed" to cover anything else.

Agreed, it's all Redskins, Politics and metro accidents unfortunately. Even my beloved Wizards don't get much play.

The one time the Post covered the X-conference a couple years ago, Dana Milbank (spelling?) did a Stephen Colbair type of sarcastic piece totally goofing on it. Very easy to do when Alfred Webre is one of your speakers! Doh!
