I've experienced something that might be similar to this Third man stuff. When I was around 13 I had a bike accident and fell on my head (insert brain damage jokes). No helmet laws for bicycles back then. As I laid there I went into an extreme deja vu, and knew what was going to happen with my friends etc. seemingly before it did. I was with two others. However, these "predictions" are as impressive as me saying that a murder will occur somewhere today. I did feel like I was given knowledge of the near future, or dreamed the event before. A "third man/woman" or, part of myself told me to just lie there and the pain will go away soon. Now, this could be due to jarring my brain of course. Just thought I'd mention it.

Interesting article. I had a kind-of, sort-of similar experience over 30 years ago. I was driving to work in my new 1978 Datsun B-210, a small, tinny car, about to turn right onto an on-ramp at Sedgwick Road when I saw a medium-sized truck go by on the freeway below with big rolls of insulation on top, the Pink Panther grinning from each roll. I didn't think much of it, and when the light changed I entered the entrance ramp, accelerated to 60 mph, and merged onto the freeway, State Route 16 headed West toward Bremerton. The freeway heads uphill here before it turns left and heads down toward a place called Gorst. I saw a car in the distance which grew in size much faster than I anticipated. It was a huge Cadillac that had apparently high-centered on one of the rolls of insulation I had seen on the truck a few minutes before. The Cadillac had been brought to a dead stop on the freeway while I was traveling full speed. I could see the driver, an old man, wondering what had happened and struggling with his car.

By the time I figured out what was happening I was very close. I slammed on my brakes. The car fishtailed to the right and went into a skid. I was now headed sideways toward the Cadillac and its protruding fins. The front of the car was pointed to the right side of the freeway, so the driver's door was going to be the first impact. I must have been within half a second of impact. The fin loomed large. I'm on instinct now so I turned the steering wheel to the left------

and my car zoomed around the Cadillac on its right side leaving me in complete control of my vehicle, now going forward in the right lane right where it was supposed to. Had I collided I am quite convinced I would not have survived. Now you can say I 'did the right thing' by turning in the direction of the skid, which I had learned by driving in the snow as a teenager screwing around. It turned out to be the absolute perfect manuever because it got my left front wheel over by the fog line so that when I straightened out the car was to the right of my real lane and the Cadillac. But the fact is I was so close that it seemed miraculous. It was as if someone else took control, got the car around the Cadillac and then stepped out of the picture.

As always with these kinds of issues, there is a mundane explanation that can be used to counteract the claims of intervention. You had to have been there to realize what a close shave this really was. Given the circumstances I have to suspend judgment on this and not race to conclusions, but Wow! Just Wow!

i have had it happen once, very definate sense of a female entity telling me "everything is going to be all right."
i was waiting at a bus stop, with all my worldly goods stuffed into garbage bags sitting beside me.
i was 15 and had just left home, cutting all ties with my past, i wasnt seeking any sort of reassurance, it just happened while i waited
