I went thru this with my children and fought the educational system. I demanded they stop utilizing "sound spelling" and they denied they used that system. I had the homework, the notes from the teachers explaining what it was about and everything but the head of the school board suggested that maybe I was confused and there was no hidden agenda or conspiracy. This was in the late 80's. Kids are out of college now and still can't spell for shit.
Most of the kids in my community education Tae Kwon Do class are on ADD/ADHD drugs. Freaky kids sometimes.
